These are the characteristics most associated with Mr. Geoffrey Mbaku. He is serving his second term as Secretary General of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in the US Section.
Mr. Mbaku is an effective community leader, who’s known for encouraging diversity that is, bringing people from different regions to work together towards the goal of promoting peace, unity, progress, community, economic and national development. His organizational knowledge, excellent management, and communication skills enable him to continuously be ahead of the game, with plans in place for the Section to grow.
Mr. Mbaku also has a firm understanding of the Section’s affairs, the strategies and rules that apply with an innate ability to always put his best foot forward. His professional demeanor, multitasking strengths, organizational abilities and diplomatic handling of the day-to-day operations have been instrumental to the successful management of the Section’s activities.
As Section Secretary General of CPDM USA, Mr. Mbaku’s role is very vital towards the smooth operation of the Section. He demonstrates a highly prized attribute such as the resiliency, to make informed decisions and more so, the commitment and reliability needed in a position of great trust and responsibility bestowed to distinguished individuals.
He was elected Section Secretary General since 2015 under President Patience Tamfu’s first term. He previously served as Assistant Section Secretary when CPDM was officially created in the US under President Joseph Mbu. In addition, Mr. Mbaku was entrusted to serve as Executive Assistant to the Chairman (Professor Paul Ghogomu, Minister in charge of Special Duties at the Presidency, and Former Director of Cabinet at the Prime Minister’s Office) of the 2021 renewal of CPDM Basic Organs in the US. He is a member of the Think Tank Committee, whose proposal contributed to the granting of Special Status to the Northwest and Southwest Regions in Cameroon.

Mr. Geoffrey Mbaku was born in Baforkum in the Tubah Subdivision, Mezam Division, Northwest Region of Cameroon. He attended Longla Comprehensive College Bamenda, Government High School Mbenwgi, the University of Minnesota where he obtained a B.A in International Relations and the University of Texas at Dallas where he did Graduate Studies in Public Affairs. Since 2010 he has had extensive Professional, Business, Information Technology and Oil & Gas trainings through Harvard University, Google, Infosys and Halliburton.
Mr. Mbaku is a loyal and resourceful professional, recognized for his commitment of exceeding client expectations. He currently works as a Senior Project Manager & Business Consultant at Infosys. His portfolio of clients has included Hewlett Packard Corporation, Hershey’s Chocolate Company, BNSF Railway Company, Harley Davidson Motor Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Tesoro Refining Company, JBS USA, FTS International and Halliburton.
Mr. Mbaku is a Christian and married with three children. He is a Noble and an active member of various organizations and events. This includes but not limited to:
